Artist Statement
Gravure is a way to “write” with acid on metal plate, and after the process, I print on paper. After that, I “destroy” with the scissor my printings and I create new compositions and new narrations on the works, making a puzzle. The result is a unique piece of art, coming out of this de-construction and re-creation process. The way I reconnect the final compositions is almost invisible. I am sewing by hand (stitching) each paper on the base paper, using the same color of thread with any printed paper. I also make digital the small pieces of paper and create short animation of gravures, limited digital editions.
